Dr. John E. Alexander PhD, MA is a graduate of Kent State University with post-graduate certifications in interpersonal psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Washington School of Psychiatry, in the treatment of alcohol and substance abuse disorders from the American Psychological Association, and in clinical hypnosis from the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
Dr. Alexander has been licensed both as a psychologist and school psychologist in the State of Ohio. He is an honorary staff member of the University Hospital System in Cleveland Ohio and maintains a private psychotherapy and consulting service in the Kent/Akron, Ohio region. He also serves as a consultant to US military personnel and their families.
Dr. John Alexander is member and Approved Consult in Hypnosis with the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, a lifetime member of the American Psychological Association, a member of the Society of Psychological Hypnosis, a Division of the American Psychological Association, a member of the Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, and a member of the International Society of Hypnosis.
